Is a news link guaranteed?

No. Journalists decide what they run. You are paying for a place in our pitch and data pack, not for coverage.

Every pitch says the featured business is a RankedNear partner. Any page of ours that mentions a feature says so too.

Pricing is not set yet. Claimed listings hear from us first, before anything is for sale.

What if I decline, or I am never picked?

Nothing happens to your listing. Your rank and profile are the same either way.

How it works

1We track local newsWe watch the news in your area for stories where local business data helps readers.

2We build the data storyRatings, license-checked counts and real local prices, from the same data that ranks the directory.

3We pitch local outletsA person approves every pitch before it goes out.

4If they run it, you are the exampleWhen an outlet publishes, the featured business is named in the story.

The honest part

You buy a place in our pitch, never coverage.

Journalists decide. An outlet runs a story or it does not. Nobody can promise you a news link.
Every pitch discloses the partnership. Outlets are told which business is a RankedNear partner.
Anyone who guarantees you a news link is lying to you. We will not.
Nothing changes your rank. Rank is earned from customers. Features are always labeled.

Questions from business owners

Never. Rank is earned from public ratings, license checks, listing completeness and, in time, verified jobs. A feature is labeled and has no effect on rank, order or score.
